• Question: When you were at school, did you ever think you would become an engineer in the future?

      Nope. At school, I just thought that engineers worked on cars. I had no idea how many different types of engineering there were and everything that was affected by it.

      I’m still learning about new types of engineering, even now!

      Yes, I knew I’ll be an engineer since I was little.

      I’ve always been interested in engineering, but was not aware at school just how many different aspects of engineering there are. I’ve worked in quite a few areas now, but there are new subjects starting up all the time. As an example, students today can’t believe that when I was at school, the calculator had not been invented, never mind the PC, tablet or mobile phone!

      No, I though being a lawyer would be cool at school but then got more interested in space and though it was more exciting so that drove me to study engineering rather than law.
