I liked that it was a different way of engaging with students. I attend a lot of careers fairs and STEM events in schools/colleges but they’re always a similar format. This seemed like a great way of talking with students and giving them an opportunity to ask questions that they maybe wouldn’t in person.

I see this not so much as a competition, but as a way of getting through the message of engineering to more young people on a direct level. As Kirsten has already said, STEM events are fine, but you don’t always get chance to answer such a range of questions, and there are some really interesting ones cropping up!

I saw the invite on my STEM Ambassador newsletter and decided to try it out.

This event seemed different to the other events I usually attend for STEM. A few others from my company did it also and they said it was fun so I though I would try to get involved.
