It’ll vary between different universities so be sure to check the course requirements. I think I had to have done “at least two technical subjects” which could include maths/science/computing etc. So you might be able to get away without a maths A-level but you’ll almost definitely wind up being taught it later at uni.

first year of university is to get everyone up to the same level, so if you don’t study it at A-Level you will be taught what you need at university. If there are some other subjects which excite you more, do them but remember the universities take on people who they think will be able to complete the course, which is why technical subjects are sometimes required.
