      It’s a key part of what I’m doing because it is the area I work in. Other people work on different things, so something else is key to them.

      The reason noise reduction is so important in aerospace is that noise is the biggest nuisance from aircraft. People quite rightly want a quiet environment, for health reasons such as sleep, and airports have to keep the noise down or they are not allowed to operate. So airlines want quiet aeroplanes, and manufacturers have to try to make them.
