      Depends on the field/ job you choose. You can use engineering for art but if you are an engineer you’ll be mostly looking at technical aspects.

      I am sure there is a role somewhere that would allow the combination of technical design and making it look nice. For my project, the rover is designed so it can work and fulfill its mission. What it looks like its a concern as even the colour of it would make a difference to it temperature.

      There are courses in Product Design which are part engineering and part considering the artistic side. They are really good because they look at the problem from both sides. Lots of times it happens that engineers design something that works well, but looks awful, or designers draw something that looks great but can’t be made to work. It needs an understanding of both to be really successful
