• Question: Is engineering an isolating career?

      Not at all. Teamwork is key in engineering. A fair chunk of my days are spent talking through problems with the rest of my team although depending on what I’m working on, sometimes I’ll spend the day in the lab which I suppose can be isolating if no-one else is down there.

      No, there is a low of team work involved.

      No, if anything it allows you to meet and work with lots of people. I’m sure I wouldn’t have friends all around the world if I hadn’t met them whilst working in different countries.

      I am surrounded by people from all over the world, and we are all working together for a single goal. I interact with more people that I would have if I didn’t have this job.
