Weird is difficult to quantify, but certainly one of the most unusual things I have designed and made was a hoist to lift my nephew’s wheelchair onto the boat that my parents live on. Allowing for different water levels and making it easily removable and storable were really interesting challenges, and there’s nothing similar available to get ideas from.

I was using my CNC machine to mill letters into a metal plate for a demonstrator. It’s probably the most unusual thing I did.

I tried to make a silly game for a mobile phone where you are a little space skip trying to dodge loads of asteroids.

One of my assignments in uni was a group project to develop a PC game. For some reason we thought it’d be a great idea to make the game about an adventurous slug on a mission.

Remains the weirdest thing I’ve ever made.
